Nu Zau is one of the many essential minimal producers to have come out of Romania. He is inspired by leading figures like Villalobos and countrymen such as Rhadoo, but brings his own twist to his sounds. "Coconut Groove" is supple and deep, a perfect fusion of ambient beauty and dynamic groove. It's dreamy and celestial but firmly tethered to planet earth at the same time. That continues with the slickness of "Mirror" and deft minimalism of "Sunny Yummy", which is the punchiest of the lot, while "Fri 14:00" is more playful, and embodies that certain sense of excitement that comes at the time of promise that the tune is named after.
