Review: London's Mansur Brown opens up a new chapter with his most personal work yet-a self-produced blend of ambient jazz, r&b, post-rock and synthetic textures that resists categorisation without ever feeling vague. The guitar remains central, but it's reframed-sometimes radiant ('Fasiha'), sometimes submerged beneath clipped beats and soft-focus vocals ('Love Is Mine', 'Ghost'). His voice, introduced for the first time, brings an added intimacy, drifting through tracks like 'Dreaming' and 'Alone' with quiet resolve. 'Warehouse' and 'Toguchi' skew darker, with distorted leads and jagged rhythm programming, while 'Rihla' closes the set in gliding, melodic form. Brown's control over every element-songwriting, instrumentation, production-gives the record a rare cohesion. It's spacious, searching, and gently defiant, charting a path that feels rooted in introspection, not trend.
