The perfect amount of grit and full command, she comes at you like a female James Brown and is complemented perfectly by her golden toned backing crew The Gospel Queens. "Sinner" is laid down over a tight Brother Cliff Driver groove that's rich in groove and soft enough in dynamics to allow the band's vocals to really surge through the mix. "Everybody Knows", meanwhile, is a truly unique fusion of country, rhumba and blues where crisp guitars pluck a sturdy rhythm with Caribbean sentiment while Naomi outlays an emphatic narrative.
