Review: Second time around for Terrence Parker's 'Real Love' EP, a gorgeous chunk of tunr-of-the-90s style deep house that the Detroit great first released on his Intangible label in late 2017. We get full and instrumental takes on two decidedly different variations. On the A-side you'll find the 'Slave Key' mixes, where tight, early 90s style synth stabs, dreamy chords and eyes-closed vocal snippets dance atop a chunky bassline and typically tough house drums. Over on the flip, it's all about the 'Piano Parkside' versions, a pair of brighter and more life-affirming takes in which piano stabs and solos ride a chunkier house groove and weightier bassline. All four versions sound like Parker probably recorded them early in his lengthy career, though whether he did or not remains a mystery.

Review: This is the latest repress of a classic from Terrence Poker who dedicated it to Detroit DJ Legend Ken Collier when it first arrived. His passing "deeply touched" Parker and no doubt many others given the influence he had with the music he played. It comes on silver vinyl and opens with Parker's classic house gem 'Love's Got Me High' (Tribute mix) then takes in the blissed-out 'Love Love' and gets more jacked up and loopy with the B-side 'Why After All This.' Closer 'Somethin' Here' is steeped in loopy disco baselines with dancing chords and irresistible funk. A must-own 12".

Review: This vibrant transparent green slab of wax takes us directly to the heart of the D, the Motor City, Detroit. It features remixes of a killer cut by The Seven Grand Housing Authority starting with the Octave One club mix of 'The Question' which comes a warm, humid deep house sound with big chords and diva vocals. The original is included next and then comes a lively rework with plenty of busted loops and chopped vocals from Underground Resistance and their Make My Day mix with brotherly duo Octave One also offers up a dub version that is passionate and sure to get the club in a sweat.
