Dreadbox Raindrops is a Hybrid Delay/Pitch Shifter/Reverb pedal that takes the concept of short echoes to a different level.

You can achieve from simple short echoes, to long, dirty and lo-fi delays and from simple pitch shifting bursts to extensively lasting reverbs.

The eight inputs can be used for control voltages as well as audio signals. A potentiometer or CV can be used to mix between the individual sources. Each of the inputs also has a manual on/off switch.

Controls:

Scan knob - master control over which input goes to the output. The knob is shifted when a CV is applied to the scan CV input.
Enable switch - Controls which input is active. When the LED is off, the input is removed from the output selection. A dim LED means the input is active but not yet selected. Bright LED means that the input is currently being sent to the output.
Curves: Subway has three different curves if you hold down keys 1-3 when switching on and then release them. Button 1 sets a linear curve, button 2 sets an exponential curve and button 3 sets a steady curve.

Notes: Blokan is a ring modulator for Eurorack based on tubes and transformers. It is built like a classic diode ring modulator, but the diodes are tube based.

The built-in VCO provides the carrier signal (saw wave) and can also be tapped using a dedicated output. The VCO provides a voltage control input. The carrier signal can also be replaced by an external signal.

The module sounds different from conventional ring modulators due to the tubes. There may be slight noise and the carrier wave may crosstalk in the output.

Notes: The J44 models are JICO CUSTOM SHOP brand alternate replacements for the iconic SHURE M44 cartridges. JICO has two products available on the market: the J44A 7 and the J44D. The J44A 7 is designed to be a replacement for the SHURE M447, while the J44D is designed to be a replacement for the SHURE M44G. The JICO J44 models are made to be as close to the actual SHURE M44 cartridges in terms of output performance.

The J44A 7 and the J44D are the same exact cartridge, just as the original SHURE M447 and M44G cartridges. The difference in the sound reproduction is created by the stylus that is used with the cartridge, which produces the distinct sound that is reproduced in conjunction with the J44 cartridges from JICO.

The N-44-7 stylus that is included with the J44A 7 offers a brighter sound than the N-44G stylus that is included with the J44D, with a thicker bass sound-the same difference as with the SHURE 44 cartridges. Synth Engine Basic Configuration

Deep Modulation

A note about the output level

The Mystic runs at line level, to be used with pedals and other devices that also run at line level. If using with Eurorack, the output level needs to be converted, just as you would with any guitar pedal.

There are several Eurorack modules that do this, but the one Recovery use and recommend is the Strymon AA.1.

Use this to latch the sound on and off. Up is on, and down is off.

Controls

Carrier frequency controls

Each carrier works together to build a waveform. Usually it's CF2 that responds to pitch tracking, but that can vary depending on the setting. Think of CF1 and CF2 as 2 sign waves being folded in various ways. Sending independent CV into each one will not get traditional 1 v/oct pitch results, but a combination of pitch, texture and tone.

Modulator controls

These are used to shape the tone and texture of the folded waveform you've created with CF1 and CF2. Modulation rate will control the speed of the modulation texture.


Momentary button

Use this to momentarily turn sound on and off. The momentary Button only functions when the Latching Switch is in the off (down) position.

Latching switch

Use this to latch the sound on and off. Up is on, and down is off.

Delay time controls

Controls the delay / echo time.

Delay feedback

Controls the number of delay / echo repeats.

Delay mix

Controls the volume of the delay / echo signal.

Volume

Controls the overall output volume of the Mystic.

CV controls

These will accept CV voltage of up to +5 volts. The parameter you are controlling should be at 12 0'clock to get the most effect from the voltage input.

Notes: Distortion and reverb meet in this unique pedal, sporting a joystick to tweak the sound and the option to flip the order of the two effects in the signal chain. Simple, quirky and effective.

Walrus Audio give you the two most quintessential effects that yield unruly amounts of power and influence to an instrumentalist: reverb and distortion. They have been harnessed and woven together for an eternity of ethereal power with The Melee: Wall of Noise. The Melee unapologetically uses a joystick to meld reverb and distortion into one massive blaze of sound. With the flip of the order switch, run the distortion into the reverb or reverb into distortion; signal chain is your call now. For the explorer, the Melee can run one of three different reverb programs Ambient, Octave, and Reverse.

In a less is more approach, Walrus Audio have intentionally decided on controls that are fun to use and will inspire a wealth of creative output. Use the joystick to control the amount of distortion by moving it up and down. Moving the joystick left and right will adjust your reverb mix. The tone and decay toggles have low, medium, and high settings. Modulation can be added to the wet signal by holding down the bypass switch and moving the decay toggle. The left position is no modulation, the middle is a slight modulation, and the right is a high modulation.

Algorithms

The Melee is equipped with three different reverb programs, which can be changed by simultaneously pressing the bypass and sustain stomp switches. Experiment with the order toggle switch to hear how differently these all react in front and after the distortion!

Ambient Reverb (Pink LED) - Huge reverb capable of massive trails and engulfing your chords into an angry wash of sound. Great for soaring melodic lines or shoegaze-driven chord progressions.
Octave Down Reverb (Yellow LED) - Similar to the Dark mode in the Slo, you'll find an eerie lower octave hovering in the reverb trail for a nice and dark atmospheric touch.
Reverse Reverb with Feedback (Blue LED) - Add reversed reverb trails back into your signal, create gentle melodies or push into reverse feedback overload. Big, slow, and sad chords love to hang out here.

Momentary

Press and hold the sustain switch to ramp up the reverb trails. Release and the trails will ramp back down to where the decay switch is currently set. The sustain switch can also latch in all three programs. Press and release the Sustain switch to capture and sustain the current reverb decay for long pad-like sounds in your wet mix. Press again to release the latch, and the reverb trail will taper off based on the position of the decay knob.

Module A-121s is a dual multimode filter which can be used for stereo applications as well as for parallel or serial organized dual mono filters. The core is a 12dB multimode filter identical to the modules A-121-2 and A-121-3. The selection of the filter type is continuously from lowpass via notch and highpass to bandpass. We attached great importance to the usability of the manual controls and CV inputs for both stereo and dual mono applications. If the filters do not behave as expected please pay attention to these peculiarities:

For the controls SFM1, SFM2, CFM, Delta F and Delta FM the centre position is the neutral position as these are polarizers. If the filter behaves unexpected these controls should be set to centre positions for the time being.

For the controls F, Q, Level 1, Level 2, QM/TM1 und QM/TM2 the fully CCW position is the neutral position as these are standard attenuators. If the filter behaves unexpected at least the controls QM/TM1 and QM/TM2 should be set to fully CCW. Via the normalling of the sockets QM/TM1 and QM/TM2 and the associated controls the filter parameters adjusted by the major controls (e.g. Type 1, Type 2 or Q) may be overwritten.

By means of small circles at the bottom right side of the front panel the user can mark the function of the QM/TM inputs. These assignments are possible:
QM/TM1 controls QM1, QM/TM2 controls QM2, the filter types are not controlled by external CVs

The LIVEN Lofi-12 has a 16bit - 12kHz/24kHz sampling engine with the 12bit Sampler mode that will turn any sound into a pleasing lo-fi sound.

Like the many legendary samplers that were released in the late 80s, this is a genuine low-bit and low sampling frequency sound that cannot be obtained authentically with bit crusher effects and other modern sound degrading tools.

Notes: Quantus Trajecta is a quad envelope designed with polyphony in mind. Quantus Trajecta's envelope structure takes the functionality from Noise Engineering's beloved Loquelic and Cursus Iteritas Percido modules, and adds even more control and mode options like Tremolo and ADSR.

Each parameter is CV controllable, and each control universally adjusts all four envelopes for easy polyphonic tracking. Quantus Trajecta is performable, musical, and most importantly, fun.

Notes: Jam Jam is a versatile and fun trigger-and-gate processor with four individually adjustable and CV-able channels. The three modes pack incredible functionality into the tiny 6hp package.

Random mode turns the module into four individually adjustable probability processors, great for adding variety to a patch.

In Clock Phase mode, the module adjusts incoming clock phase based on clock period. Use this to adjust sequencer timing or to create sequences that drift out of sync and then back in with CV.

Use Gate Delay mode as a simple trigger delay to help keep things in sync in your patch or for creative patching: dial in shifts in the timing of events from sub-millisecond adjustments to huge delays of over 15 seconds.

Andy spent decades combining and crafting the sounds you can now get from the HALO. Notes from the HALO dance rhythmically, almost creating a reverb diffusion. Those notes are held together with tape-style effects like modulation, saturation and compression. The results are stunning!

The pedal comes loaded with his signature delay tone and you can program your own sounds and save them as presets. Easily bounce between Side A and B on the fly, essentially giving you two delay pedals in one. Each input features a micro-attenuator which can be set with a small screwdriver. This space saving feature allows you to reduce the volume of an incoming signal without having to resort to external attenuators. If you add many inputs to one output you will of course cause clipping (which may or may not be desirable!), the micro-attenuators are your on-board way around this. I find it useful to leave the micro-attenuators set to 50% (which is how they come pre-set at delivery). Of course, their size is a little bit of a compromise, but they are a useful feature nonetheless. Wonderland’s sister module Looking Glass includes full size input attenuators as well as LED status indicators.

Notes: ADDAC711 is a dual channel Isolated DI box and is all about keeping the sound coming into your Modular free from any undesired noisy interferences, making sure that what you're getting from your inputs is what your external hardware is actually producing. It provides galvanic electrical isolation between the Modular system and external sources preventing impedance mismatch and ground loop induced hum. ADDAC's 711 circuit is designed around a unity 1:1 type Low-cost Audio Transformer operating in the 20 Hz to 20 KHz range, this impedance matching transformer provides two fully balanced outputs (via XLR connectors).

There are two independent channels on the module with:

The LIFT/FLOAT/GND 3-way switch lets you choose between lift, ground or floating ground. In the LIFT position (left) the module circuit will be "lifted" to ground through a 100R resistor and a 10nF capacitor. In the FLOAT position (middle) Ground will not be shared leaving ins and outs grounds completely apart from each other fully isolating both signals.
In the GND position Ground will be shared between inputs and outputs, here no isolation is used. Any of these three positions may be the best form of avoiding ground loops or any other undesired interference occurring between your modular and the external hardware. Try out which one of these options will work best in any given situation.

The importance of using Audio Transformers

Applying a transformer balanced input isolation has lots of advantages over other less expensive ways for dealing with ground loop issues. This method provides the chance to set a very simple and cleancircuit in which the signal transfer process develops smoothly and humming free. The transformer is a device that performs both signal balancing and high-to-low (or vice-versa) impedance conversion, while rejecting straggled DC voltage and Radio Frequency Interference from signal passing through a magnetic bridge. In a transformer, two (or more) coils (called windings) of insulated wire wound around a magnetic metal core allow for its input(s) and output(s) not to be physically connected together. When an AC signal passes through the input winding (the primary), a perfectly related AC signal appears on the output winding (the secondary). This way, by the fact that signal flows via inductive coupling between the two windings of the transformer, this module presents a most accurate electrical isolation between its input and output. A same number of windings on each coil guarantees that there's no gain loss when audio signal passes from the primary to the secondary windings. Furthermore, since these two windings are insulated from each other, the transformer will electrically isolate ADDAC711 from any other device, preventing hum problems coming from an outsider ground. Being a low-cost transformer the frequency response curve is not completely linear, still the -0.2dB
attenuation at 50Hz feels negligible.

Notes: Like the Iguana that's malleable to its environment, blending into its surroundings for harmonious balance or standing out with vibrant confidence, the Polychrome Flanger is a uniquely colourful tool for adding modulated textures to songs.

The Polychrome Flanger is a true bypass, all analogue Flanger pulling in familiar layout controls from the Julia and Lillian.

Like the other members of the Walrus Audio modulation family, the Polychrome has a blend knob. The D-F-V (Dry, Flange, Vibrato) knob lets you blend the dry and delayed signal from full dry at minimum (no effect), to traditional flange at noon to full pitch vibrato at maximum. Don't sleep on the vibrato sounds in the Polychrome.
Set the D-F-V knob to maximum, feedback to a minimum, and the voice switch up for some unique pitch vibrato.

Top mounted input, output, and power jacks as well as soft switch relay bypassing make the Polychrome fit well on your board and ensure smooth operation for years to come.

Review: Steely Dan are the kind of band where everyone has their favourite album, with a fanbase who might well get a little heated debating which phase of the band is superior. But when it comes down to it, everyone will agree Aja is their masterpiece, where that exacting studio process and the elevated songwriting hit some magical sweet spot that yielded the semi-mythical perfect album. The grooves are so slinky as 'Black Cow' opens the record up, they spring with joy out of 'Peg' and they lock down heavy on 'Josie', and there's so much more in between. This faithful reproduction from Analogue Productions is a limited audiophile edition for a band who were made for audiophiles.

Notes: The Jumble Henge is a 16 input stereo spectral mixer with a unique patch-based mixing interface in a compact space. Each input has a carefully tuned resonant analog filter and a unique fixed pan value, providing each sound its own space within the mix. There is a Mix control to adjust the depth of the filtering and a clean external stereo input for chaining with another mixer or extra sound source. INPUTS
Vertical and horizontal patch position determines a source's spectral and stereo placement in the mix respectively.

Aside from centred inputs, every input sits in its own unique pan position, helping to keep a separation between sounds but building a complete stereo image when combined.

The centre right inputs of the top two rows are normalised to the centre left inputs. - i.e if just a left input is patched it will be effectively panned center.

Towards the highs the panning becomes wider - as the human ear better pinpoints direction at higher frequencies, whereas the lows remain more centred for a tighter, more focused sound.

Mix control for the overall depth of the filters applied to the inputs. Note: a slight volume increase occurs near the centre of the dial.

That's basically how it operates but with the flexibility to add as many 'tape heads' as you want and expressively control their positions and levels.

UltraTap's controls make possible new and unexpected effects. The controls that you would expect in a multi-tap delay pedaliNumber of Taps, Delay and Feedback- are just the basics.

Controls for Spread, Slurm, and Chop open up a new world of possibilities.

Effect Features:

"Slurm" An exclusive and innovative control that smears/slurs taps together to create truly unique reverbs and choruses.

"Chop" and "Spd/Rise/Rel" combine to allow unusual and expressive modulation of the taps based on LFO shapes or the audio's envelope.

"Feedback" unlocks further tone shaping capability.

"Taps" selects up to 64 taps to create simple repeats or morph delays into chorus and reverb.

"Spread" controls the 'distance' between' taps. With the knob centered, the taps are equally spaced, turn clockwise and the later taps are bunched together, counterclockwise and the early taps are bunched together. Use this control to dial in the perfect rhythmic space between taps.

Onboard LFOs and envelopes to chop the sound source into stuttered rhythms.

"Tap Footswitch" allows you to set the tempo of the taps.

Notes: Erica Black OCTASOURCE is, what we want to believe, the LFO carried to it's extremes. It features one of 8 waveforms available on 8 outputs phase shifted by 45 degrees OR all 8 waveforms simultaneously on all outputs. In 2009 John Berndt coined and defined the term Relabi in his essay "Relabi": Patterns of Self-Erasing Pulse, these are his own words: "Relabi, Def.: The experience of a palpably coordinated plurality of events that appears to be cyclical but simultaneously suspends identification of a uniform pattern, preventing a resolved sense of pulse. Relabi therefore seems equally pulsed and unpulsed at the same time. It is an experiential gestalt, a quality of experience, greater than the sum of its parts (it forms a sustained unity in experience, albeit of a new kind)."

He also makes the question: "Why would anyone want this Relabi experience? I maintain that much of what is exciting in musical forms involves an interplay between the setting up and denying of pulse expectations."

Inspired by this idea, ADDAC System developed this module that is both a gate/trigger and cv generator that can be freely used to trigger events or act as a complex modulation source. Four Sine LFOs are internally generated, each has controls for gain, frequency and mute(off). These 4 LFOs are then mixed together to generate what Berndt named the "Relabi Wave" this "wave" becomes a complex bipolar CV source. This i5v bipolar "wave" can be monitored on the 2 dedicated leds and is also available at its own Output.

Notes: Eurorack version of the 16n Faderbank, offering 16 CV inputs and 16 outputs, each corresponding to a fader. MIDI in and out allows you to configure the module in myriad ways.

Supplier's Notes:
This module is a eurorack version of the 16n Faderbank, implemented with 16 CV inputs and some other smart add ons. Almost everything is in the front panel.

This new version is oriented for firmware tweaks and future expansions, still being fully compatible with the 16n and the previous Sweet Sixteen.

There are 16 channels, which can be used as:

The Midi CC number and channels can be different for the TRS jack and the USB port. The firmware has been tweaked to allow also Pitch Bend, which is pretty handy because you can get much better resolution through Midi (from min to max values Midi CCs have 128 steps and Pitch Bend has a resolution of 16.384 steps).

The voltage generated by every fader is up to 8v, which is good enough to control eurorack modules (like wide open/close the cutoff frequency of a filter etc).

In the midi CC messages, 0 volts will correspond to a value of 0, and 8 volts to a value of 127. But the CV to Midi can handle also negative voltages, for such task there are 4 slide switches (1 for every 4 faders) that swaps the internal voltage reference in a way that, when activated, 0 volts will be the middle position of the midi controller, -4 volts the minimum value and +4 volts the maximum. Those switches only affect the Midi/i2C outs, CV outs won't be affected by them in any way.

If you plug in a bigger voltage source (like a -5v+5v LFO or a 10v envelope) the fader will work as attenuator, so you'll be able to adapt how that signal affects the Midi CC out, covering the whole Midi CC range, saturating the waveform or just affecting it briefly.

Panel USB port is type B, which seems to be stronger than mini or micro ones.

i2C could connect directly to an ER-301, monome Ansible or a monome Teletype.

The Teensy can be powered via the internal regulator or the +5v eurorack rail (selectable via a switch on the back).

The partial kit comes with all SMD populated, so only through hole components requires soldering work.
