Yester Versio is the long-awaited answer to the request for a simple delay on the Versio platform. Yester Versio is a three-tap delay designed to be straightforward and easy to control. It's perfect to help glue together almost any patch, with just enough character to stand out if that's what you want.

Yester Versio comes with controls over panning, delay feedback, and delay time, but Noise Engineering didn't stop there. The Time control interacts with the Even/Triplet/Dotted switch, allowing for flexible delay syncing. These also work with the Tap button and jack input, making it easy to sync Yester to the rest of your patch and create interesting rhythms.

Notes: A clever approach to VCOs here. Three unevenly phased sawtooth signals are blended to create phase cancellations and unorthodox harmonics. Simple but deep.

Explore the sonic space of phase cancellation! Phase cancellation shapes the characteristics of all acoustic instruments. It forms the basis of chorus and phaser effects. It gives vibrancy to detuned oscillators. The vibrant sound of pulse width modulation or the roaring sound of animated supersaws are a small part of a much larger sonic space that the Triphase Oscillator is built to discover.

The Triphase Oscillator produces three different sawtooth waves at the exact same pitch but with independent phase control. These are blended in a bipolar CP3-type mixer, giving a rich waveform at the output. By blending in a wave with a positive polarity, you reinforce in-phase harmonics; by blending a wave with a negative polarity, you reduce in-phase harmonics. The phase differences between the waves distribute the harmonics from in-phase to out-of-phase. The result is a comb-filter effect, like the effect produced by an acoustic reflection, with notches and peaks spaced evenly throughout the frequency range. Conventional pulse width modulation can be obtained by blending two sawtooth waves with equal but opposite polarity. Supersaw-like behavior can be obtained by using phase CV with the same polarity for all three waves. But many other interesting spaces can be reached. For example, by setting the phases correctly you can cancel out the first harmonic and get a saw an octave higher, or cancel both the first and the second harmonic, giving you a saw an octave and a fifth above the fundamental frequency. Modulation then brings back these canceled harmonics.

The Triphase Oscillator is completely analog, built around a sawtooth core that is functionally stable and accurate but sonically alive. It has linear FM on all three waves, and an excellent hard sync that can create shredding harmonic sweeps. The CP3 type mixer gives good distortion at higher levels, allowing you to blend three 5-volt-peak waves without worrying about headroom. All CV functions at audio rate. With an LFO driving the phases, it can easily replace the classic analog three oscillator setup, and in this configuration it's one of the fattest things you have ever heard. But the Triphase oscillator is much more than a thickener, and can just as easily produce thin reedy sounds or subtly shifting harmonic drones.

"Nano" is a full-fledged virtual analogue synth with a broad array of features and customisable parameters. The synth engine has dual oscillators with optional ring modulation, a 4-pole state-variable filter with soft clipping distortion, built-in EG and built-in multi-waveform LFO.

Sequencing powerhouse

At the heart of Drumlogue is a flexible, easy-to-use, and extremely powerful 64-step sequencer. This makes it easy to create complex patterns and polyrhythms that elevates the music creation process. Innovative features are available including per-step probability, per-step alternate trigger patterns, per-step micro offsets, per-track groove patterns and much more. With the clear OLED display, it's also easy to follow and edit your sequences visually.

Chain mode makes creating long and interesting patterns simple. In loop mode you can switch between several variations to play sequences in new and interesting ways. The Motion and Accent recording functions are fast and intuitive, and if you want to try new things on your track, the randomisation function is there to help you.

Effects and customisation

Drumlogue has high-quality effects across three categories that can be used simultaneously: delay, reverb and master effects. The send amounts for delay and reverb effects are set independently, with multiple return points also available. Master effects add that final polish to the sound and can be bypassed on a per-part basis, meaning it's possible to send the effect to specific audio parts. A sidechain bus is also available to the master effects section.

Drumlogue has an audio input, so you can process other instruments through Drumlogue's effect chain, making it an ideal companion for your studio setup.

Connectivity

With a wide range of I/O, Drumlogue can be integrated seamlessly with your rig. A USB-A port supports connectivity with USB MIDI class-compliant devices, meaning volumes can be controlled with the faders on a nanoKONTROL 2, or sounds triggered by the pads on a nanoPAD 2.
It almost goes without saying that Drumlogue easily syncs with other gear via the MIDI in/out, sync in/out, or via USB MIDI.

Four individual outputs are available, in addition to headphone and main L/R. Any part can be assigned to any output, allowing for expanded routing versatility with external processing and multi-track integration.

Ease of use

Drumlogue is incredibly easy to use - having been designed with simplicity and accessibility in mind. The most important parameters for the main drum parts have dedicated knobs on the front panel for on-the-fly adjustments, as well as dedicated volume pots for each part to speed up the mixing process.

A wide and clear OLED screen coupled with a simple UI and 4 dedicated encoder knobs makes the navigation process fast and smooth.

Design

Unlike other drum machines, Drumlogue's main panel is slanted. This offers superior ergonomics and visibility, while a brushed aluminium body and wooden side panels add to the premium look and feel.

Notes: Roucha Legio is a 12 dB /octave state-variable stereo multimode filter available on the Legio DSP+oscillator platform.

Noise Engineering received tons of requests for NE filters over the years, and Roucha Legio is their first dedicated release. The filter features lowpass, bandpass, and highpass settings and tracks frequency via the dedicated encoder and extremely accurate 1v/8va CV input. Roucha Legio's CV-controlled resonance parameter can go from clean to acidy-squelchy for bassline joy. Add CV for filter sweeps that will knock your socks off. Of course, because it's a Noise Engineering module, there's a Fold knob. Add wavefolding to the signal chain before, after, or both before and after the filter.

Noise Engineering have made it easy to carry out dramatic buildups and cuts with Roucha Legio. Just tap the encoder to bypass; tap again to turn the filter on again. Want to automate it? Send a gate into the Bypass input. The filter will remain bypassed as long as a high gate is present.

Roucha Legio is also a DSP and oscillator platform: users can change the firmware on any Legio module, 100% free, to any other firmware in the Legio series.

Orobas is a dual tube amplifier that is composed of two identical units.

Each channel has two audio inputs with dedicated gain controls and one output volume control.
Thanks to clever routing, a wide variety of sounds can be created. The two channels can be connected in parallel or in series (Parallel / Series). In series connection, the output of channel 1 is still active, good for parallel signals (note: each channel output is phase-inverted in relation to the opposite input). This way, feedback can be generated by feeding back the signal from output 1 to e.g. a control voltage input.

The screen control voltage input determines the gain and the sound characteristics. Additionally, the input is normalized to INPUT 1 of the respective channel.

The Suppress control voltage input is normalized to the input signal if nothing is connected. The purpose of this input is to direct electrons reflected from the anode back to the anode. Turning the knob to the positive does not change as much, turning it to the negative slightly attenuates overtones. With a positive control voltage the change is minimal, but with a negative control voltage you can realize e.g. ducking effects and effectively switch off the tube. Audio Rate Modulation is also possible here and a bit milder than with the Screen CV, but still effective.

The evocation potentiometer controls the feedback of the second output into the first channel. The sonic performance is very much dependent on the Plate Bias switch. The Plate Bias switch effectively controls the headroom. This allows you to use the tubes in three different settings, from fuzz sound to full distortion.

Notes: One of the most unusual synths around, based on a rotating optical disc which functions as a sequencer. Program the built-in pulsewave synth engine or control other synths using the optional Wave Expander.

Taking its cosmic inspiration from star charts and ancient astrolabes, Star Song is a rotating optical disc-programmed sequencer with a built-in minimalist synthesizer.

Star Song can be used either to play its own built-in pulsewave synthesizer, or in combination with the A.M.P. electronics Wave Expander (sold separately) to drive external analogue and modular synthesizers.

How it is used

To create sequences on Star Song, the seven translucent rings (orbits) of the optical disc are marked with a marker (included) or opaque tape. The disc is removable and additional discs are sold separately, allowing for indefinite storage of your favourite sequences.

The outer six rings control the tuned note selection and note-on/off sequencing. The innermost ring controls the cut-off frequency for the built-in bandpass filter.

Disc on/off and disc direction are toggled from touch contacts on the front panel, and disc speed is controlled from the central rotary control.

Additionally, there are 1/8" inputs to control rotation speed and rotation direction with an external source.

The addition of Wave Expander makes the Star Song into an incredibly versatile Gate(6 channels) and CV (1 channel) sequencer, as well as providing the Star Song's tuned audio oscillator over five separate octave divisions (four audio and one sub-audio), 12 outputs in all to integrate into your modular system.

Multiple Star Song units can be synced by using an external clock signal, and you can even slave Star Song to your existing Melody Oracle/Wave Expander combo.

The Reloop Flux is a next-generation USB-C interface for using Serato DJ Pro with turntables, CDJs or other media players. Maximum flexibility

Three stereo inputs provide DJs with maximum flexibility. Turntables, CDJs and similar can be used in any combination. The settings are adjusted using discreet DIP switches, which virtually eliminates any chance of accidental switching in the club. The interface includes three stereo outputs, including an AUX out that can be routed to Serato's internal sampler. Gold-plated, corrosion-resistant RCA jacks ensure high-quality audio transmission.

Full control

The Flux provides the best possible routing overview thanks to clearly visible signal flow LEDs for all inputs and outputs and a Thru status indicator. The Direct Thru buttons on the top of the interface enable you to quickly and easily activate and disable Thru mode, which allows connected turntables and CDJs to be used conventionally. Always powered

Notes: The Sloer Stereo Ambient Reverb builds on our popular Slo lineup but adds two additional reverb algorithms, stereo width control, two additional modulation wave shapes, and the ability to control the sample rate. Now you can create immersive, lush, modulated, sleepy, and ambient soundscapes with more width and depth than ever before.

Save your favourite dreamscapes with three onboard presets by simultaneously pressing and holding down on the bypass and sustain switches. Scroll through them by simultaneously pressing and releasing bypass and sustain.

The five-way rotary dial allows five different reverb modes - the three you know and love from the Slo: Dark (Lower Octave), Rise (Ambient Swell), and Dream (Latching Pad); and the addition of two new modes: Rain (Delay Tap Diffusion) and Light (High Octave Shimmer). Secondary functions on the dial change between five different wave shapes for modulation on the reverb trail.

Combine deep modulation, long washy trails, and an immersive stereo field to experience Sloer.

5 reverb modes:

DARK - Add a lower octave to your reverb trail. Here you'll create deep and wide atmospheric sounds and channel nightmarish soundscapes. X knob sets the level of a -1 octave signal that feeds the reverb.

RISE - This is an auto-swell reverb for beautiful cinematic swells. Don't rush it. Let it breathe and gently wake up. X knob sets the amount of time it takes the reverb to swell in after a note is played. Set lower for shorter rise times and higher for longer rise times.

DREAM - Lush reverb with a latching pad function. Press the sustain switch to latch signal. Experiment with the X knob to add vibrato over the pad. Press sustain again and the pad will decrescendo according to where the decay knob is set. X knob sets the depth of vibrato applied to the reverb trail.

RAIN - Tappy and trippy, this program creates a unique effect with lower levels of diffusion allowing the reverb delay taps to audible create an echo-like effect within your reverb. Use the Xcontrol to set the amount of diffusion of the delay taps.

LIGHT - Bright and smooth reverb with an octave-up shimmer. Create a range of ethereal sounds with the X slider, keep it low for a smooth pad-like reverb or push it higher for a bright shimmer effect.

5 wave shapes

The Sloer also features five different wave shapes accessible by holding down bypass while switching the algorithm dial.

Sine - Smooth and even pitch up and down modulation.
Warp - Asymmetric pitch up modulation similar to a warped record.
Sink - Asymmetric pitch down modulation for sinking detune similar to a Bigsby.
Square - Symmetric pitch up and down modulation for stepped modulation.
Random - Uses sample and hold that picks new random values.

Momentary functions

Bypass: When the switch is in the off position, press and hold to temporarily activate the effect to add a moment of reverb texture. Releasing the switch turns the effect off, and fades it out.

Sustain: When pressed, the decay switch ramps up the reverb trail to maximum creating a long dreamy reverb trail, and then ramps back down to the decay knob setting when released. In the "Dream" algorithm, the sustain switch is latching. Press it once to capture and sustain the current reverb decay for extremely long pad-like sounds. Press it again to let the reverb trail taper off, based on the position of the decay knob.

Trails mode

The Sloer can run in trails or no trails mode. In trails mode, when you turn the pedal off, the reverb decay dies off naturally. In no trails mode, the decay is abruptly cut off when you turn the pedal off. To toggle between either mode, hold down the bypass switch for 1 second while applying power to the pedal. Unplug power and repeat to toggle to the other mode.

Preset spillover

When scrolling through presets, there is only preset spillover if the next preset is the same algorithm as the one preceding it. For example, if your red and green presets are both in Dream mode, switching from red to green will not cut your reverb trails.

NOTE: USB power has inherent ground noise, so when connecting the UNO Synth directly to your computer via USB, you may hear more noise and interference than when the synth is connected to a USB wall charger or running via batteries. With the direct computer connection, you can reduce the USB ground noise and other interference by either using a USB isolator or a custom TRS cable into a balanced input on your preamp or audio interface where the ground is not connected at the balanced input side.

Powerfully analogue

Minilogue Bass includes cross modulation, oscillator sync, and a ring modulator, alongside a high pass filter delay to further expand your sound creation possibilities.

Eight voice modes

Minilogue Bass is a four-voice poly synth, with eight voice modes for broad versatility. Alongside POLY and CHORD modes, DUO stacks two voices in unison, UNISON works as a 4 part mono synth, MONO is monophonic but with a sub-oscillator playing an octave lower, DELAY plays 3 voices in sequence after the first, ARP is a 4 voice arpeggiator, and SIDE CHAIN lowers the volume of previously played notes.

16-step sequencing

Minilogue Bass offers powerful and intuitive sequencing possibilities. The 16-step polyphonic sequencer also captures the motion of up to four real-time controls, and can be overdubbed or step-sequenced, alongside the ability to change the root position of the playback by playing a key.

Flame "Fire" percussion synth module

The module is a full 8-way polyphonic drum and percussion synthesizer. It offers different digital synthesis algorithms, which can be distributed over 8 channels. The sound engine delivers virtual analog sounds as well as different digital percussion sounds, which are generated with FM, wavetable or virtual analog synthesis. It is also possible to create sim- ple monophonic bass or synthesizer voices.

During development, particular attention was paid to direct and simple usability with regard to live operation. The hardware essentially consists of two parts (which are deli- vered together). On the one hand there is the basic module with all controls, the display, connections for MIDI, 2x CV inputs and 5 audio outputs.

There is also a separate XFIRE I/O extension with sockets for the 16 analog trigger/gate/CV inputs and 3 additional audio outputs. Both modules are connected via a 60cm long ribbon cable. In this way, the XFIRE module can be installed anywhere else in the rack. The base module is therefore only 22TE wide and can also work alone without the extension as a MIDI expander.

A maximum of 8 audio outputs are available. A stereo pair (outputs 7+8), plus 6 additio- nal individual direct outputs. All outputs are freely configurable. Two pages with settings for panorama and volume are available for the stereo main out.

There is a gate/trigger input and a configurable CV input for each channel. Two additio- nal programmable CV inputs can be used for further controls. Regardless of the analog connection, the module offers full MIDI functionality. Two MIDI inputs and a MIDI output/softthru allow integration into an external MIDI setup. The firmware can be upda- ted via MIDI Sysex. The created KIT data can also be saved or exchanged.

Intellijel's design goal for Sealegs was to create the warmest, most musical and organic delay module possible - something that would sweeten and enhance any audio one chose to feed into it. As such, great care has gone into modelling the most distinctive and desirable sonic characteristics of three different types of delay circuits: Tape; Bucket Brigade, and Crossfading Digital.

A plethora of onboard controls enable you to dial in exactly the sound you want; synced or un-synced delays times (for both left and right channels); a built-in modulator with seven morphing waveshapes, a Wow & Flutter emulation, and an envelope follower; plus dedicated low- and high-pass filters; built-in hiss & crackle noises; per-model colour controls; a spacious reverb; and a re-configurable signal flow through the unit. Notes: The Dannysound Dynamics is a compressor / expander originally designed to process drums but, like most processing devices, it can be used for a wide variety of applications.

The module comprises of:

The compressor / expander section uses a discrete transistor-based circuit that allows for soft clipping when overdriven.

The envelope detector is known as a feedforward type of circuit; taking its input from the signal before it goes to the compressor rather than after. This type of circuit is known for having fast attack times.

The Sub Bass enhancer has its own compression circuit that "ducks" the initial transient. This allows the sub bass to be increased without distortion on the transient peaks, increasing the overall level.

There is a MIX control to allow the unprocessed signal to be mixed back in with the processed signal.

The 3 band EQ is an inductor based LCR design. After Dannysound tryed out various EQ topologies, this was the design that sounded the nicest. When overdriven it gives a nice "bite" to the sound, and it has a certain characterful charm that's hard to put into words. The controls have a response that are subtle to begin with and get more pronounced as the controls are increased.

The Harmonic Exciter adds a little distortion to the high frequencies, which bring out the sparkle of cymbals or the snap snare drums. The operating bandwidth can be switched between Low (snare drum snap) or High (Cymbals sparkle).

There are inputs for side chaining and control with an external envelope as well as an envelope out to make the envelope detector output available to drive other modules.

It also features separate inputs and outputs for the Compressor / Expander and EQ sections, so they could be used as 2 separate modules.

The NDLR includes a Pattern editor to make arp and modulation patterns, a rhythm editor and now a Chord Sequencer too! Once you have your perfect piece, you can save your patches.

What's new in The NDLR (v2)?
By popular demand, a soft-power button has added. The NDLR (v2) is powder coated with a black faceplate and beautiful red base. And the internals were modified for a new, faster microcontroller. The feature set remains the same, though there are some surprises waiting to be discovered in the menus. So far, new features are being back ported to the original The NDLR via firmware updates, as long as it does not require the faster processor.

The Four Parts


The PAD part is a polyphonic chord player for getting beautiful PADs out of your favourite poly synth. Like all of the other parts, the PAD plays notes based on the selected global chord. When you press a chord button the notes stay on until you press the next chord or stop the part, so you can twist knobs on your synths or play a lead part on guitar. Change or modulate the chord octave position, note range, spread, and strum.

A really cool feature of the PAD part is the "Interleaved Poly-Chain". When enabled, this will send the chord notes to up to 4 MIDI channels in a round robin fashion. Really great for ethereal evolving patches on a multi-timbral synth, or for turning multiple mono-synths into a poly synth! Six voices from 2 Volca FMs? Sure!

There are two "Motifs" which are extremely versatile sequenced arpeggiators. Select a pattern for each one and press Play! Independently tweak on clock division, pattern length, octave position and more. You can create your own patterns with the onboard pattern editor, and add rhythm with the onboard Rhythm editor. The motifs play the notes contained in the currently selected chord, so you don't need to pick notes on a keyboard. The NDLR supports a 10 to 300 BPM clock so play as fast or slow as you like, or use an external clock source.

The Drone part can play a single continuous note like a traditional drone does... or choose from various retrigging options, such as having the note retrigger on a chord change, the down beat, every beat, up beat, etc. You can also choose to add a 3rd and/or 5th note to the root note for a polyphonic drone. Or have the drone play a thundering kick drum if you want to.

Requirements:

USB Power Supply not included; The NDLR (v2) runs on 5V DC, 140mA. The original is 90mA.
The NDLR comes with a 6 foot USB cable. You can purchase longer or shorter cables as needed, with USB A to USB B connectors. Users of newer Macs may need to purchase a USB B to USB C cable or use an adapter.
MIDI Synthesizer(s); The NDLR is a MIDI playing device, it doesn't make any sound on its own, it sends MIDI messages to your MIDI sound modules. It can play most anything with MIDI input including vintage synths, modern synths, mono and polyphonic synths, software synthesizers, on an iPad, PC, stand-alone or VSTs in a DAW. Note that some vintage synths or synths with poor MIDI implementations may be prone to getting stuck notes. Use the Panic button on The NDLR when needed.
To connect many synths, and for the best MIDI timing we recommend using an active, 1 input to 4 or more outputs MIDI thru device or MIDI router, such as the MRCC.
The NDLR has rich velocity controls if your synths support velocity, not all do.

Use a MIDI keyboard or sequencer to select chords. Choose The NDLR "Control-In" MIDI channel. The white keys map to chord degrees I-VII. Optionally black keys map to the chord type. Sonority is automatic based on key & mode.
Most features of The NDLR can be controlled by inbound CC messages.
All notes and CCs pass thru except for The NDLR control channel.

FxBoy is a multi-FX module designed in collaboration with several talented manufacturers.

This is an effect unit with CV control over the parameters and Dry/wet control, with a Built-in CV controllable four bands EQ.

Each effect is physically hosted in a hot-swappable game cart and designed by a different manufacturer: Touell Skouarn with Skuara a harsh fuzz with overdrive, Instruo with micro Phaser, a two-flavoured Phaser, Feedback modules with a vintage Flanger, XOR with FX-Girl, a digital double effect module: Delay + Granularizer, Making sound machines with an analogue Wave folder, Tesseract with a bit crusher and Befaco Trash distortion!

Notes: The Serge GTO is a newly designed, complex multi-functional module which can be patch programmed to provide various slew and sample functions both for audio and CV signals, but also act as a (dual) oscillator or filter or bitcrusher or ... It is one of the essential Serge modules. The GTO is an offspring of the famous Serge SSG.

The Smooth section will place a positive and negative slew on input voltage transitions for lag effects, voltage controlled portamento and for low frequency filter applications. In Cycle-mode (cycle jack patched to the input), the Smooth side “will oscillate yielding a voltage controlled triangle wave LFO. A high level into the HOLD input will enable the Smooth Function to be used as a track-and-hold circuit with voltage controlled slew rate.

The Stepped function can be used as a sample-and-hold with voltage controlled slew rate limiting. In Cycle mode, a pulse applied to the Sample input will generate complex staircase waveforms for control voltage applications and for use as audio signals.

Each side has a temperature-compensated 1V/Oct input for use as an oscillator with a frequency range of up to 20kHz (left) and 8kHz (right). Each side tracks over 5 or 6 octaves.

The Coupler is an internal comparator which compares the output levels of the Smooth and the Stepped Generators. This output is useful for generating complex control voltages or random voltages.

Notes: The Haible VC Resonator is an evolution of Jurgen Haible's Resonator which was inspired by the Polymoog Resonator. As Jurgen stated: The Polymoog, an early polyphonic synthesizer, featured a 3-band "Resonator" section that allows Formant-Filtering in addition to its dynamic Filters. Such a Resonator is a very useful feature for analogue synthesizers. Each of the three (now overlapping) filter bands has a control for frequency, signal gain, and emphasis (resonance). The VC Resonator now not only adds VC control for each band, but also extends the ranges whithin which each frequency band can be set - adjacent bands can now overlap or even cross over, for instance the LOW and MED bands can now be set (or moved!) so that the LOW center frequency is higher than the MED frequency.

Jurgen's original Resonator (like the Polymoog) had a switch to select one of 3 basic modes, i.e. only one mode could be used at a time. The Haible VC Resonator now provids the same 3 modes as separate outputs so they can be used simultanously, e.g. for further processing like crossfading.

Intellijel has made the already awesome Thru Zero VCO Rubicon even better! In addition to the seven waveforms plus sub-oscillator of the first version, the second generation offers a new Warp stage, which generates a hybrid of complex pulse and other waves - you can even use external audio material. Nebulae is a granular sampler and DSP platform. Its phase vocoder audio engine provides elastic audio, which can be time stretched, granularized, and mangled to no end. With independent control over pitch and speed, and granular controls such as overlap, window, and density, finding new sonic territory is only a knob turn away. Nebulae can use live audio input, a recorded buffer, or audio files as the source material for its powerful audio manipulations. The live input buffer can record up to five minutes of stereo audio at 48kHz, 24 bit. In addition, up to 75 MB of stereo audio can be loaded simultaneously through the USB port. No naming convention or special formatting necessary; just plug and play.

Nebulae lives a double life as an open source DSP platform with an extensive library of off the shelf alternate instruments. You can turn the module into a lush reverb, spectral delay, or tape-style looper simply by loading a new file onto the flash drive. Do you want to tweak one aspect of an existing instrument, even the default functionality? No problem. No prior coding knowledge is necessary to tweak and refine existing firmware to your liking or start with one of our templates. Notes: Mûmack is built from a temperature-stabilized analog source producing the three classic waveforms: triangle, saw, rectangle. This basic signal can be altered or enriched in several ways, which can be combined with each other, and associated with one VCA per mode.

Peak Compressor:
In the central position the signal is not modified. Turning the potentiometer to the right or to the left will compress the signal positively or negatively. It is this signal that will then feed Usual, Mûm and Hack. An LFO is dedicated to the compressor, controllable in speed and amplitude. A CV input with attenuator can also control the compressor.

USUAL:
The three waveforms are freely mixable, a CV input and a potentiometer can change the shape of the rectangle wave (PWM). The compressor intervening upstream, it can strongly influence the final form and the amplitude of USUAL. This produces complex analog waveforms, moving in time with the LFO or the CV input. The linear potentiometer makes it possible to mix the signal with the others, and to dose the volume of the direct output. The rotary potentiometer acts as an attenuator for the VCA input.

MÛM:
The Waveform potentiometer move the waveform of Mûm continuously from a attenuated triangle to a more pronounced triangle, then to a sinusoid and finally to a square wave. An LFO allows you to add a vibrato adjustable in speed and amplitude. The linear potentiometer makes it possible to mix the signal with the others, and to dose the volume of the direct output. The rotary potentiometer acts as an attenuator for the VCA input.

HACK:
Mûm's signal is taken up in a Wavefolder + compressor. Depending on the settings of the Peak compressor, and the three LFOs, we obtain complex, moving, organic waveforms. Again the linear potentiometer allows to mix the signal with the others, and to adjust the volume of the direct output. The rotary potentiometer acts as an attenuator for the VCA input.

ALL:
The three channel (Usual, Mûm, Hack) are mixed and brought together in a single output. The output volume is adjustable and a CV input with attenuator works like a VCA.

MIXER & VCA
The voltages produced by Mûmack, as is the case with many analog VCOs, can be high. The mixer allows them to be attenuated if necessary. Each of the three channels, and the product of the three, can be controlled by the VCA, with attenuator. The VCA is designed to add distortion at high values. The mixer is exponential for more subtle adjustments in low values.

Carrier

The heartbeat of Mindphaser, focused on audio-rate generation. Drives the WAVESHAPER and TZ-PM bus. This core's frequency range spans the audible spectrum.

- An external hard SYNC IN forcibly resets the core, useful for punchy sequences, percussive basslines and drum synthesis -- or to sync to another VCO.

- Coarse and fine controls conveniently span the audible spectrum. Ranges further with external CV.

Modulator

An extremely wide range oscillator, spanning from deep LFO frequencies all the way up to supersonic sound! Four base waveforms and diverse internal routing options form a versatile palette of modulations for the CARRIER to feed on.

- Activating hard SYNC on the Modulator locks its core to the Carrier's heartbeat. The effect can be dramatic. Try this while phase modulating!

- Octave RANGE switch lets you quickly flick up and down between octaves. All the way beyond audio-rate and LFO speed octaves. Perfect for experimenting with different PM sidebands and taming the wide frequency range of the Modulator.

- Manual PW (Pulse Width) control and dedicated CV input for PWM.

Waveshaper

This isn't a classic waveshaper! Developed anew from the ground up, this waveshaper is focused on deep harmonic experimentation and audio obliteration. Each waveshaper parameter is capable of being "turned up to 11".

FOLD up to 5 octaves above the fundamental Carrier frequency. A ceiling forms at maximum, imparting additional harmonics.

FEEDBACK the waveshaped and phase-modulated audio through a signal path internal to the waveshaper.

AMPLITUDE modulation spans thru-zero, allowing for full-range ring modulation effects with bipolar CV or audio signals.

CLIP the final stage of amplitude with the switch to introduce a last stage of harmonics before the complex signal exits through the final OUT.

Switchable inverting attenuators on each CV input, for quickly inverting the behaviour of your modulation. The indicator illuminates red to tell you the attenuator has been inverted.

Two distinct waveshaping modes

A press of the shape switch toggles Mindphaser between RAMPOID (green) and TRIANGULAR (yellow) waveshaping modes.

These modes have a remarkable effect on the behaviour of wavefolding and overall character of the final complex OUT, in addition to TZ-PM Bus character.

RAMPOID mode folds more asymmetrically, with raucous, buzzing harmonic artefacts as you sweep and introduce TZ-PM

TRIANGULAR mode folds more symmetric, splitting the complex sine wave at its peak centre of the waveform. TZ-PM character is less raucous, and more smooth.

TZ-PM Bus

Thru-zero phase modulation in the ANALOGUE realm! Unlike its digital counterpart, analogue TZ-PM has its own character we've come to expect from analogue circuitry!

Voltage-controlled INDEX behaves like a macro control when combined with various amounts and polarities dialled in at each CV destination.

Internal sends include the Carrier's classic Linear FM, Amplitude, Feedback and TZ-PM Index, with variable amounts and polarities!

Modulator waveforms internally feeding the Mod Bus behave unipolarly, for predictable modulation of every Mod Bus destination, without external patching. By patching in one of the Modulator's bipolar waveform outputs manually (or any external signal), you can override this behaviour.

UTILITIES contains a set of simple auxiliary modules to expand the functionality of the PULSAR-23 drum machine. UTILITIES modules can also be used with any gear that works with CV signals (Eurorack, semi-modular synthesizers, etc.).

The modules included in UTILITIES can be divided into two groups:
1) Passive elements such as switches, resistors, capacitors.
2) Various types of amplifiers and waveshapers, linear, non-linear, controlled and uncontrolled.
Passive elements are designed to expand the possibilities of switching and controlling the PULSAR.

Linear amplifiers are needed when you need to feed a signal from a device operating in a lower voltage format to the PULSAR inputs. For example, it can be a step sequencer with an output voltage of 5 volts, while the PULSAR needs 10 volts to fully trigger the drum modules. Or it could be the output of a cassette tape recorder, which has an output of 1 volt, while for normal operation the PULSAR needs an input level of an audio signal of 5 volts. Non-linear and controlled amplifiers and waveshapers are designed to control the signal level, while simultaneously changing its spectrum, distorting its shape and adding harmonics. The circuitry of these amplifiers is very simple and based on the early developments of the transistor era, with its inherent beauty and grace.

Torus is an overdub looper for harmonic playback. It offers four, 16-step pattern banks for sequencing as well as other sample manipulation techniques. It was designed to bring daw recording workflows (sample reversing, pitch shifting, sequencing, etc.) to eurorack cases.

Inputs:

A, B, C, D - buttons for choosing the current pattern. When combined with chain, these buttons can be used to sequence a pattern chain. Individual chains can be support 16 steps and are kept in sync with torus's global clock.

Chain - button for chaining behaviours. Chain + A, B, C, D can be used to sequence a pattern chain. Chain + record can be used to record multiple patterns in series and then chain playback. Chain + clear can be used to clear all recorded patterns. Chain + tap can be used to reset the current pattern when it contains recordings.

Mix - knob and CV used to blend between the input signal and the recorded pattern.

Record - button and gate in for turning on and off recording. When a pattern is not recorded, record will turn on and in sync with the clock. When a pattern is recorded, record will immediately turn on and off overdubbing.

Oct - buttons for octave shifting pattern buffer playback. Oct buttons can be used to clock divide/multiply an input clock signal.

Reverse - button and gate in for reversing buffer playback.

Harm - knob and CV for choosing harmonic pattern playback speeds. Playback speeds include both integer clock multipliers and perfect intervals.

Tap - button for tapping in tempos for the internal clock. Tap will repeat the current note when the current pattern contains recordings. Combine with chain to reset the entire pattern when the current pattern contains recordings.

Clear - button and gate in for clearing the current pattern. Combine with chain to clear all recorded patterns.

Clock - gate in for clock syncing

In L and in R - audio input, left will be converted to stereo if there is no right input.

Outputs:

Harm out - gate output mapping to harmonic playback resets. This gate output will range from 1-16x the clock out frequency depending on the harm knob/CV value.

Clock out - gate output for the global clock. The output gate frequency will be 0.25-4x the input clock speed based on the oct button state.

Reset - gate output when the current pattern has reset.

Notes: Monolith is a pitch-shifter reverb inspired by west coast synthesis techniques. It utilizes a time-domain based FM algorithm that acts as a shimmer.

Inputs:

In L and In R - audio input, left will be converted to stereo if there is no right input
Blend - knob and CV for controlling the fade between the dry and FM audio signals
DJ filter - knob and CV for controlling the reverb delay line filtering
Wet - knob and CV for controlling the reverb decay
Mod - knob and CV for controlling the scale of FM modulation. Low mod values correspond with microtonal pitch regions. High mod values correspond with multiple octave shifts.
On - button and CV gate for toggling on/off FM modulation. When FM modulation is turned on/off, the FM modulator oscillator is reset.
Quant - button and CV gate for toggling on/off FM pitch quantization.
Freq and v/oct - knob and CV for controlling the frequency of the FM modulator oscillator. Also control reverb pre-delay.
Shape - knob and CV for controlling FM modulator oscillator shape. Shape wavetable transitions from sine wave (8 o'clock) to triangle wave (12 o'clock) to square wave (4 o'clock).
Clock - CV gate for tempo syncing modulator oscillator period.

Gate - CV gate out that is period synced with the FM modulator oscillator

Analogue dry through means that the guitar's dry signal maintains a 100% pure and unprocessed analogue signal adding only the delay you choose.
