Review: Da Buze Bruvaz are a hardcore rap duo from Philadelphia, consisting of Him-LO and Clever One. Known for their outlandish, non-politically correct, and gritty lyrics, they owe much of this influence to their former memberhip of New York posse The LoLifes, founded by Thirstin Howl III. Gunz Knivez & Nunchuckz carries out what the title implies; Clever One's lyrical skills and Giallo Point's grimy production combine to produce a cinematic, action-packed sound, be that via the sinister mover 'Vizable Ghost Gunz' or the hilarious, film-referencing 'Lo'ceanz 11'. A must-have for fans of hardcore hip hop and boom bap.

Review: Hardcore Philly rappers Da Buze Bruvaz, aka Him-LO and Clever One, have been coming up strong on their Grilchy Party label in the past couple of years. A lot of their work has been with Lord Beatjitzu, who once again mans the buttons on this vinyl pressing of the CDr release, complete with kung-fu movie iconography emblazoned on the cover and some hard as nails beats to back up the drunken, lyrical devastation from the duo on the mic. This record serves as a companion piece to the Bruce Li album the three-strong team have got coming in tandem with this joint, so cop both and get yourself up on the real deal coming straight out of Philly.

Review: Him Lo of Da Buze Bruvaz steps up as executive producer to introduce Graffiti Legend Enem Ski of TDK crew, the latest member of the Grilchy Party team. Known for his iconic work in the film "INFAMY," Enem Skiwas initially brought on board for his graffiti mastery. However, his MC skills soon took centre stage which resulted in this six-track EP. Featuring hard-hitting beats from Wino Willy, Giallo Point, Senz Beats and Him LO, the project explores themes from graffiti culture to life's harsh realities. With limited features from Dz Buze Bruvaz this EP showcases Enem Ski's lyrical prowess and Philly's raw street essence.

Review: After a busy 2018, Da Buze Bruvaz emcee Him Lo is starting the new year strong with his first official solo project, and a fine one it is too. It shows that he is determined to prove he can stand alone, though he does team up with rising producer Giallo Point, who is revered for working with top dogs like SmooVth, Big Twins, Roc Marciano and more. Giallo crafts a lush yet gritty gangster soundtrack of dusty, hardcore loops that perfectly complements Him Lo's raw delivery. Stepping out from Da Buze Bruvaz without Clever 1, Him Lo showcases his real creative hunger and fine artistic versatility here on an album that is a grimy, unapologetic triumph.

Review: American label Grilchy Party starts off a new series here that it hopes will take it ever further into the instrumental hip hop world. First up to kick it off is Wino Willy with his multiple offerings on the heavyweight Welcome Home Brother Willy. The inspirations and influences run wild and free taking in everything from Afrofuturism to crime culture, with soulful sounds, jazz heavy samples, always killer and crispy drum breaks and plenty of neo-boom-bap goodness. It's one for the heads, this one.
